ITINERARY:
DAY 1 (L / D)
ARRIVAL | KUNDASANG | DAIRY FARM
Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA). Meet and Greet session with our Guide. Then, we proceed to Kinabalu National Park. Journey will take approx. 2 hours passing / brief stop over at Nabalu Market, a collection of native stalls selling fruits, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts. An opportunity to observe the local stall activities. Arrive at Kinabalu National Park, enjoy the cool and refreshing mountain air, if day is clear, a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia. While walking, listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe nature's plants, trees, orchids and butterflies. Kinabalu Park boasts an estimated 4,500 species of plants which includes 1,500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. The park also supports 289 species of birds and 290 different types of butterflies. After Lunch, we start our Highland Tour by visiting Desa Dairy Farm located at the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, at the Mesilau Plateau, Kundasang, Ranau. It is one of the subsidiaries of Desa Group of Companies which is wholly owned by the state government of Sabah, Malaysia. Desa Dairy Farm provides a good education for children even adults to understand how fresh milk is being processed from raw to finish product. The best time to visit the farm is around 2:30pm as milking session is starting at 3pm every day. You can see all the cows are lining up waiting for milking. Frisian Cattle are reared in this farm to produce around one million liters of high quality fresh milk annually. The processing plant is fully automated at all stage of production. Fresh milk in original & chocolate flavors is available for sales at the lobby. Some souvenir also available and it is always nice to grab something for friends and family other than fresh milk! Then, we transfer to our Resort for Check in. Overnight at Kundasang Highland.
DAY 2 (B / - / D)
1 Island Hopping | Pulau Manukan only
After breakfast, we check out of the Resort and descending Kinabalu Highland to Kota Kinabalu. Then, we depart for Manukan Island of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park (TARP) famous for snorkeling and beach activities. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is open daily from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. Return to Kota Kinabalu at 200 pm. After Lunch, we proceed for City Tour : Sabah Foundation Building, City Mosque, Toh Poh Tze Temple, Sabah Museum & Handicraft Market. You may paid a visit to Handicraft Market. Located along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, the Handicraft Market is a favored shopping haunt for locals and tourists alike. Souvenirs galore await you and rest assured there is something for everyone. Start with the cheap trinkets, which make excellent gifts for friends and family. These include key chains, beaded bracelets and necklaces and bookmarks. You will be spoils for choice with miles and miles of beautiful sarongs etc, an ideal reminder of your tropical holiday in Sabah! Be sure to check out the glistening and gorgeous pearl jewellery and handicrafts. You can purchase loose pearls or stunning brooches, necklaces and earrings, available at almost every stall you visit in this vast market. For those with an eye for ornate wooden carvings, you have come to the right place. The market has an endless variety of carved crafts, including exotic wooden masks, picture frames and even stunning wall panels. Not be missed are the assortment of rattan baskets in all shapes and sizes.The best thing about the Handicraft Market is that you never know what piece of treasure you might unravel during your visit. Some have returned home with an authentic sompoton (a traditional wind instrument), a Murut headhunter's blowpipe, a coconut-shaped handbag and a wooden-frog that ‘sings' when you stroke its back with a wooden stick. The most important tip when visiting the market is to bargain, bargain, bargain! Pick up some local lingo to improve your bargaining skills and you might even walk away a steal, where your skills of bargaining paramount important to have a good price. Then, we will have our Dinner at local restaurant. After dinner, we proceed for Hotel Check in at Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at Hotel. (Including Boat Fee, Terminal Fees, Sabah Park Conservation (Manukan Island) Entrance Fee, Snorkeling Gears and Life Jacket)
DAY 4 (B)
KOTA KINABALU DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure and Hotel check out until time for transfer to the Airport for departure Home.
