TOURS ITINERARY :

Day 1: Madrid | Arrival
After your arrival at the Madrid Airport, we will transfer you to the Hotel of the choice. On the way there will be a bus tour of the Madrid's landmarks and monuments, the famous Mudejar Bull Ring, Presidential Palace and Madrid Football Stadium. Once checked in, you will have time to settle and freshen up after which there will be a welcome briefing or free time depending on the arrival time.
Day 2: Madrid | Lisbon | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we will make our way to Salamanca. Upon arrival, we will visit the Plaza Mayor Square. There will be free time to explore / shop. we will then drive over to Portugal straight to the Capital, Lisbon. we will check in to the Hotel and freshen up before heading to the City Center. we will also be visiting the Great Mosque of Lisbon. There will then be free time or head back to the Hotel for rest.
Day 3: Lisbon | Tavira | Tours (B)
After breakfast, there will be free time for shopping. we will leave for the mountain city of Sintra visiting the amazing Muslim Castle build on one of the highest mountains of south Portugal. After this, we will head for the coastal city of Tavira. Upon arrival, we will check in to the Hotel and freshen up before going for a walk through the city. There will then be free time.
Day 4: Tavira | Seville | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we will check out of the Hotel and visit the Old Moorish Castelo before heading to Seville. Upon arrival in Seville, we will take a guided visit to the historic center which will include the Royal Palaces and Gardens built for a Christian King in Islamic Architecture, the Cathedral of Seville and its Giralda Tower, once the biggest Minaret in the World. It is said the Muezzin used to ride up on a horse to call the Azan. We will take a stroll along the river Guadalavir, Torre Del Oro before having free time for shopping etc. we will then head back to the Hotel for rest.
Day 5: Seville | Malaga | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we check out and depart for the famous Costa Del sol with a stop at the white town of Ronda, perched high up with spectacular views and its famous bridge straddling the gorge below. we will continue our journey to Malaga. Upon arrival, we will check in to the Hotel and there will be free time to relax and do shopping.
Day 6: Malaga | Granada | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we will leave for Granada, the last Muslim Kingdom which held out for 250 years before the inevitable fall in 1492. We will check in into the Hotel to rest before a visit to the new Granada Mosque, the first in 500 years and a chance to meet and interact with local Spanish Muslim Community. In the evening, we will explore the city and visit the souks before heading back to the Hotel for rest.
Day 7: Granada | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we will make our way to the AlHambra, usually the highlight of the tour for many. Nominated as a Wonder of the World, the visit to the Palaces, Gardens and Fort will leave you breathless. After the AlHambra, the group will have free time for the rest of the day. Then we explore the AlBaycin, shopping and rest.
Day 8: Granada | Cordoba | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we will leave for Cordoba, stopping on the way at the archaeological site of Madinat al Zahra. The city built by the Caliph Abdul Rahman III. Here, we see the Palace ruins and take a visit to the new exhibitions and Museum. we will then heading to Cordoba, the legendary Muslim City that was the Capital of Al Andalus. We will do a walking tour around Cordoba before heading back to the Hotel to check in and rest.
Day 9: Cordoba | Tours (B)
After breakfast, we will take a guided tour to the Cordoba / Mosque, one of the most important and largest Mosque in its time. After taking Lunch, we take a walk through the old Jewish Quarter and then across the old Roman Bridge for a visit to a fantastic Museum on Islamic Spain. There will then be free time before visiting a local Spanish Muslim family on their farm.
Day 10: Cordoba | Toledo | Madrid (B)
After breakfast, we will then leave for Madrid, stopping on the way in Toledo. Toledo, 70 km from Madrid, was former capital before and after Muslim rule. We will explore the city's historical center for about 2- 4 hours. This will offer us an opportunity to see some of its monuments, the AlCazar Royal palaces and the Cathedral. here will then be free time to explore and shop. We will then continue to Madrid and check in to the Hotel. There will then be free time and some some own activities.
Day 11: Madrid | Departure (B)
After breakfast, there will be free time before departure to the Airport.
NOTE:Lectures and talks on history of Andalus throughout. Itinerary is to be used as a guide and may change slightly in sequence of excursions etc.

REMARKS:
- Pick up is from Madrid Airport on the first day of the Tour between 1000 am - 200 pm. Drop off to the Madrid Airport will be on the last day of the Tour around 1200 pm. However, we could arrange for your extension night or Hotel of choice prior or after the Tour
