TOURS ITINERARY:
DAY 1 :
CAIRO | ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. Meet and Greet session at the Airport Cairo with our representative. Transfer from the airport via private A/C car or mini bus to your hotel. check in and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 2
GIZA | SAGGARA | MEMPHIS | PYRAMID
After breakfast and check out of the hotel. The days starts with a guided Tour in Giza to visit the legendary Majestic Pyramid of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerionos to view these spectacular man- made monument. Then proceed to the great Sphinx, guarding the Royal Burial Chambers and Temple of Cheops. We will have our lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to Saqqara to visit the step Pyramid of Djoser which is considered to be the first Pyramids in the history. Finally, a visit to Memphis to explore the area and its monument. back to hotel and overnight.
DAY 3
EGYPTIAN MUSEUM | CAIRO HISTORY TOURS
Your guide for the day will pick up you and begin your Guided Tour in the Egyptian Museum which is considered to be the most ancient Museum in the world. You will have a guided tour inside to see the Golden Treasure of Tut-Ankh-Amun and a great Gallery of statues and Portrait....etc. Our next stop is in Islamic Cairo. We start from Citadel Fortress with a visit to the Mohammed Ali Mosque (The Alabaster Mosque). The Citadel was built by Salah-El-Din in the 12th Century and was the seat of power for the following 700 years. On the premises is the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, one of the landmarks of Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of the city. The Mohammed Ali Mosque was built in Turkish style, very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey. Then continue to Coptic Cairo, home one of the oldest Christian Churches in the world and retrace the step where Mary and Joseph walked a thousand years ago. We will visit the Hanging Church, also known as El Muallaqa that was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and it was believe to have been built at the end of the 3rd Century. Built on the outer wall you will see the Greek Church of St. George.
DAY 4
ALEXANDRIA
After breakfast at the hotel, your Guide will pick you up then transfer you, cutting across 220 kilometers of the western desert from Cairo is the city of Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean Sea. The trip takes time about 3 hours. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to visit the Montazah Summer Palace, walk around and enjoy the Montazah garden. Originally built in 1892, it was the summer home of the Egyptian Royal Family. Lunch is taken en-route at a popular seafood district (at your own expense). After lunch, you will visit the Fort and Citadel of Qaitbay, which was built around 1480 by the Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay. It is believed to rest on the site and to be built from the stones of Pharoah Lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The day ends with a visit to the Catacomb of Kom el-Shokafa. These tomb were tunneled into the bedrock in the age of the Antoine Emperors (2nd century A.D) for a single wealthy family still practicing the ancient religion. These tombs represent the last existing major construction for the sake of the old Egyptian religion. Return to Cairo and Overnight.
DAY 5
DEPARTURE CAIRO | ARRIVAL ASWAN
Free at Leisure and at the end of days you willl be transferred to Cairo railway station to take your seating or sleeping train to Aswan and overnight on board in the train.
DAY 6
NILE CRUISE
Upon arrival to Aswan railway station, our representative will meet you and you will be transferred to your Nile cruise which will be your home, to check in and your guide will take you to visit the High - Dam and unfinished obelisk. High- Dam : a fine example of a modern Egyptian technology. Unfinished Obelisk : the granite quarries are the location of the fame unfinished obelisk 41 meters long and about 1138 tons. Then overnight on board.
DAY 7
KOM OMBO
Sail to Kom Ombo, visit the temple shared by Sobek and Horoeris, sail to Edfu and overnight.
DAY 8
LUXOR
Visit the Temple of hours, sail to Esna, cross the lock, sail to Luxor and Overnight
DAY 9
VALLEY OF THE KINGS
Cross the west bank, visit the valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El- Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon, at East Bank, you will visit the temple of Karnak, and the Temple of Luxor, then you will be transferred to the train station to catch your sleeper train back to Cairo and overnight on board.
DAY 10
CAIRO DEPARTURE
Transfer to Cairo Airport and farewell to the land of the Pharaohs.
