Imperial Cities Tour
The sumptuous Morocco Imperial Cities tour allows you to experience the different flavors and wonders of the Kingdom in an adventure celebrating its history, culture, gastronomy, architecture and beautiful landscapes. A great heritage from various dynasties, Arabic or Berber, the imperial capitals of Morocco: Fez, Marrakech, Rabat and Meknes are an invitation to uncovering the successful union of tradition and modernity. These cities, set in ever changing landscapes, are surrounded by ramparts, each sheltering their own architectural, cultural and artistic heritage. Whether set on the Atlantic Coast or in the Atlas Mountains, a Kasbah or a medina, these cities adorned with palaces, mosques and mausoleums, reveal their secrets as you wander along their souks, fountains and windy lanes. Antique hunters, art lovers or just curious onlookers will be delighted with this escapade. Today, you can still marvel at the glory of their religious architecture and the unique charms of their historic heritage while savoring their exotic culture.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: CASABLANCA – RABAT
The trip will start by meeting your driver at Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca, the largest city in Northern Africa and the economic capital of the kingdom. After the sightseeing which will include the United Nations place, Mohammed V square, the residential area of Anfa, external visit of the famous Hassan II Mosque one of the largest in the world, and one of the few Mosques open to non-Muslims in the country, and the beautiful Ain Diab corniche the nightlife of the city lined up with restaurants and swimming pools. Then we proceed to Rabat.

Day 2 : RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FEZ
After breakfast, we visit the capital of Morocco Rabat, this city in many ways is what you would expect: elegant in its spacious European in self conscious in its very civilized modern ways. Our sightseeing begins with the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the exquisite Mohamed V Mausoleum tomb of the present king's father and grandfather, the imposing Hassan Tower built in 1196, the 14 century Necropolis of Chellah and the ramparts and walls of the Mechouar surrounding the Royal Palace. We continue to fez via Meknes city the former imperial city built at the end of the 17th century by King Moulay Ismail. The Meknes city tour includes the old ramparts, the Moulay Ismail stables and granaries. Also visit the gate of Bab el Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and Lahdim square. After lunch we will then continue to Moulay Idriss the holiest city in Morocco in the creation of the country's first Arab dynasty and where the founder of Islam in Morocco is buried, then we visit Volubilis the settlement of the great Roman empire, Morocco's largest and best preserved Roman ruins, and then we continue to Fez.

Day 3 : FEZ CITY TOUR
The whole day will be devoted to discovering Fes, the oldest of the Imperial Cities 1200 year old, which is well known for its spiritual and educational contributions to the Moroccan culture. explore the medieval Medina with it’s winding alleys of Arabic-Moorish architecture, savor the scent of spices, orange blossoms, and sizzling lamb kabobs, and watch scenes unchanged for centuries, from donkeys laden with goods to children carrying boards of bread dough to communal ovens. visit the famous souks where craftsmen still work in the age-old oriental tradition , the sites of ancient Koranic schools and old working tanneries, you will feel that you have stepped back into another era. Optional lunch in one of our suggested traditional Moroccan restaurants before continuing to discover the hidden treasures of this old town.

Day 4 : FEZ – BENI MELLAL – MARRAKECH
Depart early this morning and journey to Beni Mellal city through Azrou and Ifran cities across the Middle Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Enjoy the picturesque drive through beautiful chains of cedar trees where you may have the chance to see the Barbary Macaques who dwell in these forests. Lunch and a moment of relaxation in Beni Mellal city an important agricultural center before continuing the journey to Marrakech.

Day 5 : MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we will begin our full day sightseeing tour of Marrakech to discover the charms of this impressive «Imperial» city known as the pearl of the south and its monuments. The highlights include the beautiful Menara gardens reflecting pool surrounded by extensive flower beds, an example of Moorish design, constructed in 1866and, the Koutoubia Minaret which is the twin tower of la Giralda in Sevilla, Spain, the16th century Saadian dynasty tombs and the beautifully constructed and decorated Bahia Palace. In the afternoon discover the labyrinthine souks with their numerous tiny little shops bustling of activity, and the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its medieval open air entertainment and a big popular fairground, unfolding day after day with its story tellers, fire eaters, acrobats, snake charmers, fortune tellers, water sellers… We conclude the day with a sunset drink overlooking the dynamic Jamaa El Fna Square which is the vibrant heart of this city.

Day 6 : MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH
You will take a full day excursion to Essaouira city to relax and enjoy this splendid small city on your own. Essaouira is known for its annual festival of "Gnaoua music". The city is a very welcoming and attractive city with a beautiful old Medina which is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site that never ceases to seduce its visitors. The attractiveness of Essaouira is reflected in its beautiful architecture, cultural treasures, curving sandy beaches, and stunning combination of ocean view, Essaouira's highlights include: Place Moulay El Hassan, The Skala, the Old Portuguese harbour, the ramparts, the Jewish district and cemetery. Back to Marrakech.

Day 7 : MARRAKECH / CASABLANCA AIRPORT
Breakfast at your hotel. Private transfer for your departure flight. End of our services.
